Children's Ministry

 The Preschool and Children’s ministries of FBC offer your child a chance to learn about Jesus in a safe, loving environment.  Safety is an important issue at FBC.  Therefore, we utilize the “2 teacher to a room” principle, offer beepers to parents of bed babies through 2 year olds (and others as needed), accept only “well” children for our activities and regularly inspect toys for broken parts as well as other basic cleanliness procedures as recommended to prevent germ transfer.  Preschoolers have name tags which correspond with a parent tag for child pickup.  All teachers undergo a yearly training session.  Each child is treated with respect.  We teach Bible based curriculum incorporated in an easy learning environment.  Our classes are divided by age.  We offer Sunday school, TeamKID (discipleship training), Bible Buddies, Mission Friends, Bible Drill class and G.F. in the Attic 5.6.  Extended teaching care is offered to children birth through Kindergarten age for the Sunday morning worship hour.  This care is staffed primarily by volunteers.  Our yearly calendar also includes: Bi-annual “Baby presentation, Parent dedication” services, Worship class for upcoming 1^st graders, Bible presentation to upcoming 1^st graders, children’s musicals, Eggcellent Saturday, Vacation Bible School, opportunity for attendance to Shocco Music Camp, Fall Festival, and Angel Brunch as well as other holiday related activities.
